Senior Machine Setup Operator Duties:
- Interpret blueprints for product specifications including dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to produce
- Set machine controls for spring and wire forming machines
- Install necessary parts to machines to ensure proper functionality
- Use standard or custom tooling and adjust the machines accordingly per part
- Verify dimensions of finished work piece for quality and conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micro-views, and load scales
- Use grinding machines, polishing stations, and make simple tooling as needed
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
Senior Machine Operator Skills:
- Ability to sit down and setup an existing spring machine: 2-point coiler up to 0.032” wire
- Ability to use inspection equipment as needed to produce a product that meets quality and customer expectations
Spiros Industries Benefits:
- This is a flexible part-time schedule. The Employee can schedule their time as they see fit Monday thru Thursday
- Requesting a minimum of 12 hours per week, a maximum of 24 hours a week
- Start time not to be before 3:15pm
- Shop closes 1:45am daily
- Work hours need to be submitted one week prior for planning purposes

Secondary Machine Operator Duties:
- Operates and tends a machine that performs one or more packaging functions, such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers
- Inspects filled containers to ensure that products are packaged according to specifications
- Feeds products to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices and unloads packaged products
- Replenishes packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels
- Tallies the number of units of a product that were packaged or records product information, such as the size, weight, and type of products packaged
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
- Participate in continual improvement programs to meet and exceed IATF ISO standards
Secondary Machine Operator Skills:
- A High School diploma preferred
- Able to read and write English to understand all documentation including blueprints, setup sheets, part drawings, machining process sheets, and special instructions
